Mach1 Spatial System Details

The Mach1 Spatial System contain the plugins and tools for best mixing to the Mach1 Spatial format. These plugins and tools were developed while using them on many projects that span between VR/AR/MR/LBE and custom installations. Ensuring that Mach1 Spatial is truly developed by Audio Professionals for Audio Professionals. The Mach1 Spatial Audio format is a Virtual Vector Based Panning (VVBP) system contained into a single multichannel deliverable through already existing audio containers and codecs with the intent of keeping all traditional audio practices and post-production intact while enabling full 3DOF interactive spatial sound. It does not require any audio library or media engine and can function fully on top of any existing audio system/engine.

Connection with Mach1 Spatial SDK

The Mach1 Spatial System is derived from the APIs in the Mach1 Spatial SDK. This ensures that whatever workflow you design for mixing with Mach1 Spatial will be safely deployable without any loss or change via the Mach1 Spatial SDK

Mach1 Panner

Encoder Plug-in

Used on each bus/track to encode audio within Mach1 Spatial using Mach1Encode lib of just traditional amplitude distribution.

Mach1 Monitor

Decoder Plug-in

Used in DAW to monitor a head-tracking enabled stereo mix by utilizing Mach1Decode lib. Receives hardware orientation input data to simulate orientation to audio from the summed Mach1 Panners mix. Only a single instance of this plugin is needed on the final sum buss of a project within a DAW.

Mach1 Transcoder

Transcoder

Used in DAW to monitor a head-tracking enabled stereo mix by utilizing Mach1Decode lib. Receives hardware orientation input data to simulate orientation to audio from the summed Mach1 Panners mix. Only a single instance of this plugin is needed on the final sum buss of a project within a DAW.

Mach1 VideoPlayer

Player

Used to monitor VR video content. Wrapped 360 from monoscopic or stereoscopic. Orientation data from Hardware also controls a composite unwrapped video of the user’s orientation in the video. Syncs to Mach1 Monitor Plugin to orientate audio via inter-app communication.

Mach1 Monitor Control (Mobile)

Device Controller

Connects orientation enabled bluetooth devices to control the Mach1 Monitor over LAN. Currently supports the the internal mobile IMU, Apple AirPod Pro and BoseAR enabled products.
